Offered for sale is a Victorian parlor set attrib. Made of walnut with burl highlights this is an outstanding set. The sofa crest features Herons with their beaks stuck through swirling ribbon eating berries, these are amazing carvings. A cameo back center is flanked by chair back ends. Incised carvings decorate the shaped seat rail. The matching chairs offer vining carved leaves centered by an ebony inlaid crest. This set is solid and sturdy, with expected wear and dings for its age. The springs in the sofa need to be retied.
