I have owned it for almost 50 years. Before that it was owned by an elderly lady who lived in the more fashionable downtown. The wood appears to be walnut. The chair top was damaged and repaired. I have included pictures of the repair. I have seen a lot of Victorian sofas but never one with a ladies’ head. Sofa is 69″ x 31″ x 42 Chair measures 42×17 x 22.
