This luxurious settee loveseat was made in the Late 1800s and is a wonderful example of the Biedermeier furniture style; it features a classic silhouette with beautifully hand carved details decorating the legs, The frame is made of gorgeous solid wood that is mahogany, cherry, some veneer, with medium to dark brown mahogany stain finish. The fabric has some wear/spots, we do recommend to professional clean or reupholster the settee, ask us about a re-upholstery quote, if you are interested. A really lovely example of an iconic furniture design by France & Son, one of the best known furniture makers in Denmark in the 1960s. Individual leather patches sewn together held in place by buttons, like the earlier Barcelona chair resting on a solid teak frame with nice dove tail jointing. Went into the time machine and brought back this Elvis / Tiki era, Pearsall styled gondola settee and matching ottoman. Made by a fine furniture maker down in Tennessee. There is a quarter inch rip on the front left arm and there are a couple of flea bites around the left arm and the back that are very small. Vinyl is supple and strong, but we do detect some of Gramp’s aftershave which could be removed with some attention. Settee 60W x 15, 20.5. 33H x 29D. Seat interior 44 x 20.
