An exceptional three-piece suite in rosewood with marquetry inlay, all distinctly stamped Jeanselme. Examples of their work can be found in Fontainebleau and the Palais Royal. The stamp was used between 1840 and 1853. All three pieces are in very good antique condition. There are only nominal marks to the outer edges and minor loss to the marquetry inlay, as to be expected with furniture of this age. Please enquire for individual prices of items. Adrian Pearsall Mid-Century Modern Daybed/Sofa. It measures approximately 74″ long, 12″ high (plus cushions) and 30 deep. It is made of walnut wood that will need to be refinished for maximum appearance. The fabric on the base looks original, and is the same fabric that covers the inside of the back wedge shaped cushions, beneath the foam that has been applied (see photo). The base cushion looks to just be foam which may not be original. I think the cushions were already reupholstered but they need to be done again. The fabric is very discolored. At least 1 of the brass feet has been replaced. You are welcome to find your own shipper and we will coordinate with you. A very good looking and well made suite, upholstered in a hand sewn floral fabric that looks glorious from all angles. The drop arm function on the sofa operates as it should and has three or four positions it can be rested in, the frames are all solid mahogany throughout, the claw & ball feet have nice acanthus leaf detailing. The timber has been cleaned waxed and polished, the upholstery left as it is because it is pretty much perfect so far as I can see. Width:- 149.5cm. Width:- 81cm gents armchair 77cm ladies armchair.
