Walnut framed couch or settee c. Exceptional shapely carved and moulded walnut frame with unusual design to the sides and curving arms on swept arm supports. Crisp acanthus leaf details and scratch carved decoration. Turned front legs and splayed rear legs all raised on small brass castors. Buttoned backrest and padded arms over a generous sprung seat all upholstered in a pale pink velvet chenille. Frame is in good condition with no wobbles, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Upholstery is serviceable but with some marks and missing portions of braid. Dimensions: width 67, depth 30, height 37. Alternatively you are welcome to view and collect items from our large warehouse showroom in Llandudno Junction, North Wales (we are approximately 45 mins from Chester). Victorian Antique Finger Carved Walnut Loveseat, New Upholstery #31770. A Victorian period loveseat from about 1860 was “finger” carved by hand of solid walnut. Matched brocade upholstery and padding are new. The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture. Reglued to serve another generation, the frame is tight and strong. Brass wheels are original. Dimensions are 68″ long, 31″ deep, 39″ tall and the seat is 20″ high. As you can see this needs the full works, there are old frame repairs, a couple of the front legs need a little alignment tweak, the upholstery is worn in the hard wearing areas, the cushion is solid and sound, you have the original horse hair padding, the base would have been rewebbed at some point and thats in perfect order, its actually not that big of a project and there is allot of profit on the back end for the right person. Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask.
