This sofa is pretty much the best condition George Smith Kilim I have ever seen, it is in perfect condition to my hands and eyes. Kilim upholstery furniture dates back to the early Victorian era, they were present in the finest country homes, a Kilim is basically a rug used for upholstery, this sofa has two large kilims used, they are an Aztec pattern and look amazing. The cushions are very thick and heavy feather filled, George smith sofas have a special feature, the back rest stops short of the bottom and leaves a gap for the cushions to go inside the frame, it means the cushions sit in place allot easier and have more feathers, the main reason is though your never sitting on the back edge of the cushion which is where it would be more likely to go flat so you have a better seat for longer. Depth:- 105cm with the back to the wall to the front of the frame, 109cm to the front of the cushion.
