Gorgeous Mid Century 2 Piece Sectional Sofa on Plinth. Attributed to Milo Baughman. Reupholstered, Tags long Gone. 24″ Tall (18″ to arms) 34″ Deep and each section is 117″ Corner to Corner. Two Small Repairable Tears, Otherwise Crushed Velour Fabric is in Great Shape (Needs Cleaning). Items not picked up within 30 days will be considered abandoned. Wonderful Mahogany Empire Victorian Lounge Recamier Sofa circa 1850

For sale is a transitional Lounge circa 1850. Coming out of Empire into Victorian, this lounge will go wonderfully with either period of furniture. Made of solid Mahogany and Mahogany veneers, it is very sturdy and comfortable. Leaf and flower carvings decorate the chair end and center of the back. Carvings also decorate the arm fronts and feet. The vintage green velvet fabric does show fading and spots, no rips or holes. This is a fantastic lounge and will be a great addition to any room. 14 inches seat to floor. Please remember that vintage items and antiques are treasures that have been lived with and loved for generations and will show signs of that love and use having minor imperfections and maybe a repair, which means the item has been loved and cherished for many, many years. This is a original antique rococo sofa. It has hand carved Roses in the frame and has a solid wood frame in mint condition. There are 2 separate cracks (see photos) one on the top which is barely noticeable and the other by the leg. The wood framing is very solid and the cracks does not make the sofa weak. It still holds up strongly. The upholstery is in great condition. This sofa is great as is or you can reupholster it to any fabric you prefer. It’s truly a beautiful sofa and I really don’t want to sell it but I have no space for it anymore. THIS SOFA MUST GO BY THE END OF THE MONTH! If you want the matching chairs I sell that separately. The frame was handmade of heavy solid wood that was re-gilded with gold leaf recently. The sofa was also re-upholstered recently. It has an old small restoration.
