Early 1900′s Empire Mission Style Sofa Bed Loveseat Size Solid Oak Construction with Metal Fold Out Bed Frame. This is a very sturdy piece of oak furniture. The wood was stripped and refinished and the upholstery was replaced with a tapestry fabric about 35 years ago. The springs in the seat and back are very strong and the spring bed frame is in good condition. This items is from a smoke-free and pet-free home. It’s been in our master bedroom for 21 years. We are anticipating the need to downsize in the next couple of years, so we are beginning to sell off some of the things we don’t really need. The item measures approximately 38″ tall at the center back, 62.5″ wide and 33 deep from back to edge of arm. These measurements represent the maximum outside dimensions. Measurements of the bed frame are 48″ wide and 71″ long. Must be picked up in Litchfield, Illinois……. Home of the “Litchfield Pickers Market”. The item will have to be disassembled somewhat to remove it from the home, as it will not fit through the doors. Vintage mid century 2-piece bent bamboo and rattan sectional sofa with. Bamboo is green-ish in color, sturdy and well-made with no structural issues. Sofa can be used as shown or with a table in between and in several configurations. Cushions are a floral-covered in a heavy cotton and are in good overall condition. Some fading evident, but no tears or significant damage evident. 30″ deep x 50″ wide x 28 height – total measurement of sofa. Side tables are sturdy with no wobble. Constructed of bamboo and laminate. Overall good condition with no structural issues. 15″ tall, 20″ diameter tables (2). You will find dust throughout. VICTORIAN RED VELVET SOFA with Carved POMEGRANATES Antique Couch Wood Carvings

Incredible Victorian sofa with carved pomegranates. Excellent seat comfort (no soft spots). Fabric is a plush velvet in a beautiful deep vivid red. Upholstered with tiny handmade nails — NO staples. Exterior fabric is the REAL THING. Underside has newer upholstered fine grey mesh fabric, so not certain whether the cushion interior has ever been replaced, but it’s very clean and well done. You could easily have this reupholstered if the noted flaws are bothersome. (see images 7-9) what looks like nail scratches in fabric seat; what looks like small light paint splatter on right arm rest and outer side of couch with a tiny nick in the leg; spot on left arm rest. There is also a very small spot on cushion toward the backrest, and a small 1/2 area where velvet nap changes direction (slight indent) on backside of sofa toward wall. Price reflects these flaws. I’m happy to send more images with very exacting captures for your review if you request them. Measures approx 83″ in length, 33″ deep and 34 tall at highest point. More about the meaning behind pomegranates. The pomegranate foremost stands for fertility, a notion that dates back to Greek mythology where it is associated with the story of Persephone who is taken by Hades to the underworld. The multiple seeds stand for rebirth, in this case her return to her mother to begin the spring season. In many religions, it is not unusual for them to be gifted to women hopeful to become pregnant where they believe that a taste of the sweet seeds will encourage a seed to be planted of her own. In the Christian world, the fruit is associated with the Virgin Mary as meaning eternal life as well as a reference to Dooms Day. Weddings, baptisms and birthday are typical occasions where the pomegranate makes an appearance during the celebration as a drink, food or present to the guest of honor(s). The only negative meaning that seems to be associated with the pomegranate is war due to the core shape of the fruit resembling a grenade. Will consider REASONABLE OFFERS.
