This sofa was part of the’465′ series for the Soft Seating program in 1972. Andrus created this particular appearance not only with modern materials in combination with natural leather upholstery but also the sheer form with its round edges and the’flowing’ base makes this sofa a design statement. Fiberglass body is in good vintage condition with some minor surface wear such as scuffing and scratches. The leather upholstery shows distress but no tears, holes, or odors. For sale is a set of Steelcase living room furniture designed by. Designed to replicate the furniture of the Jetson’s Family, a popular cartoon back in the 70′s. The set comes with 2 sofas, (one of them has a broken base) 2 love seats and 2 tables, 1 coffee and 1 end. (both tables have original glass) The acrylic base is designed to give the effect that the furniture is floating. While the furniture itself is almost 50 years old, the upholstery was refurbished about 7 years ago. Also included is a white modern dining table with no chairs, The dining table is not not Warren Platner, the dimensions are: 43wx87Lx29h. These items came from a College and were in a teachers lounge. They have a lot of scuffs on them. Pieces show signs of heavy use and will need to be refinished. Upholstery in excellent condition. Steelcase Sofa Soft Line William Andrus Warren Platner Knoll Space Age Eames. Original white shell and ORIGINAL black leather. The rarest of all. This sofa has been preserved for many many years and is in outstanding ORIGINAL condition. It has not been compromised in any way. The original black leather has slight patina and it very soft and in good condition. The fiberglass shell in original white has a few small light rubs but nothing ugly or very noticeable. You have to get up close to even see. This is a very very rare opportunity to own the holy grail sofa of all time! Most these days have been recovered, repainted etc. This one is in its original state! The only modification I make was to professionally add led lighting to the bottom to enhance the floating appearance at night. It can easily be removed with no issues. No holes were drilled or anything unsightly. No chairs, lamps, carpets, pillows or anything else will be included. 84x 42 x 25.
