This is an original Mid Century Modern Kroehler Avant Series Danish style sofa manufactured circa 1960s. This is a very attractive piece with a sleek modern design similar to the pieces produced by Adrian Pearsall. It features the original cobalt blue tweed upholstery, tufted button back, armrest covers, tapered/angled legs, and walnut accents. Condition is preowned with age related blemishes and scuffs but structural sound with a solid wood frame. Measures approximately 86″W × 35″D × 30″H, Seat depth 20.5″. This sofa is THE sofa of mid century sofas and truly deserves to be the center of attention in your sprawling mcm or modern home. The design of the sofa is truly timeless and unique to others of its time. The beautiful rich walnut wood combined with the sculpted arched brass plated steel legs and marine tweed fabric makes this piece a nearly one of a kind piece. The sofa offers 2 lamps, one large tiled lamp that matches the colors of the sofa, while the other is built into the wood frame and turned on by a knob on the front.
