Sectional Sofa By Milo Baughman For Thayer Coggin. 571 330 0810 Always happy to entertain offers. This is quintessential late 60s / early 70s design from Milo Baughman and one of Americas premier furniture manufacturers, Thayer Coggin. This sofa was delivered in 1971 and is in GREAT condition for a 45+ year old sofa. If you are familiar with Thayer Coggin products you know they are extremely well made and the upholstery used are nearly indestructible. The quality is comparable to Knoll or Herman Miller products. The sofa has three parts; Three seat section, two seat section, & One seat corner. While many Milo Baughman / Thayer Coggin pieces are exceptionally heavy, this sofa is of standard weight. I have had a number of Milo Baughman / Thayer Coggin products over the last fifteen years and for the most part they have been EXCEPTINALLY HEAVY! In one case the item was so heavy that I thought it was made of concrete. This sofa is very solid high quality Thayer Coggin construction but of normal weight for a quality product. Left / Right configuration of the long (3 seat) and short (2 seat) sofa sections can be changed if you like. In the photos I have the long side on the left and the short side to the right. If you would like to reverse this configuration you can but it does take a little work. The upholstered sofa sections are attached to the base via 4 L brackets with 4 screws each. To change the current configuration you will need to unscrew the base and reposition it under the upholstered sections. Not brain surgery but it does take a little work. + White wood base could be easily painted any color you like. + 3 Pc Set (3seat section + 2 seat Section + 1 Seat Corner Piece). + Comes from NO Smoking, NO Pet home. + No Holes, Rips or smells. 115 Long Side x 89 Short side (measured along back). Back of Sofa is 29.5 High. Total external depth (back to front edge of cushions) 36. 3 Seat section : 79″ Long x 29.5″ Tall x 36 Deep. 2 Seat section : 53″ Long x 29.5″ Tall x 36 Deep. Corner Section : 35″ x 35″ Long Each Side x 36″ Deep x 29.5″. Very good and might even be exceptional for a sofa of this age. There are three sight issues that I would note. 1 On the shorter section, the center of the top back edge shows some ware or light fraying – See photo. It is not very noticeable due to its location. 2 Under some light conditions and depending on the viewing angle, the top edge of some cushions can sometimes appear slightly faded. This is not obvious or pronounced as it does not show up in the photos. It is something you would have to focus on to notice. 3 The back of the sofa that would normally be up against a wall does show some fading. If the back of the sofa is against walls, then no fading can be seen. If the sofa were to be used in the middle of a room the fading might be noticeable.
