Victorian 1850′s Walnut Sofa, Carved Serpents, New Upholstery. A spectacular solid walnut lounging sofa from the 1850′s has hand carved serpents, and has been newly upholstered. The restored finish is in excellent condition on this antique furniture from France. Deeply sculpted, the serpentine curves are beautiful. There are various restorations and shrinkage separations from age on the frame, which is tight and strong. Brass wheels are original.
