A lovely piece of design the rare mid century sofa was originally retailed by Levy Carlssons Mobelaffar and shown at the Önskehems Stockholm furniture exhibition in 1952. Characteristic of design from this period simple and elegant adhering to modernist principles, but a loosening of the rigid forms of earlier in the century more organic soft flowing curves are included to give great sculptural effect.
