This sofa has very ornate carvings in the woodwork including Griffons heads, human faces, ribbons, flowers and instruments. The upholstery has a soft floral pattern in pastels and exposed brass nail head trim. The sofa is button tufted on the seat and both of the side-back cushions. The center back cushion is not button tufted. There are 4 legs on the front of the sofa that have elegant scroll style feet. This sofa is long and sits low it is very comfortable. The feet and lower legs are showing a little typical wear of scuffs and scrapes. Overall this piece is in great condition. I do not know the maker or exact date this item was made. It is antique and may not be perfect. Measurements are 35 3/8 inches tall, 82 5/8 inches side to side and 37 inches front to back. The weight is 110 pounds.
