Fresh from a New York City estate, we have a pleasure to offer you this adorable Vintage French Designer Made Louis XV Style Carved & Upholstered SETTEE or LOVESEAT. Quality setee, done in 19th century style with added touch of Mid-Century modern shabby chic paint design. Frame is painted in light green color, edged in beautiful silver. Covered in fabric, with a detachable pillow. It is in good overall condition, sturdy, shows minor age / use wear, with one side of the pillow stained (may be possible to clean – please view the photos). Size is great for house or apartment at 49″ wide, 39.5″ tall, 27″ deep, and the seat height is 19″ at pillow top. This set was NEVER USED. The man I bought it from said, as children. They weren’t even allowed to go into the living room of their aunt’s house. She kept it in. Nice zippered plastic coverings. And never sat on it. It is a great shade of Golden Chocolate Brown/Bronze with Creamy Tan and the ever popular, classic silver thread running through it. It also has the chair which has 3 decorative metal rods on each side. We have been in the antique business 40 plus years and we have never. Ever found a perfect time capsule wrapped in plastic, like this one. We unwrapped the chair so you can see the pattern and color better. But you can also have the plastic covers. They are intact with zippers working. Great if you have children or pets or both. Did I mention that is is COMPHY? No dry rot here. Cushions are new and comfortable, not dried out or crunchy. Fabric with silver thread running through is spotless and perfect. Sofa and chair are sturdy and comfortable. Plastic only is yellowing, couch and chair are bright and spotless. Designer: Danish Art Deco Design. Material: Velour with Beech wood frame. Maximum Dimensions: Width 174cm, Depth 98cm, Height 73cm, Seat Height 38cm and Seat Depth 47cm. Condition: Very Good with the only real sign of age being a small tear repair to the Velour on the seat base (see image). Description: An elegant Danish Art Deco 2.5 seat’Banana’ sofa. The sofa is upholstered in a Mint Green coloured Velour fabric, with subtle contrasting piping around the edges and seat base, and deep ribbed detailing to the backrest. The sofa is generously sized for a 2 seat sofa, but a little to cosy to comfortably be a 3 seat sofa, hence the’2.5′. The frame features a beautiful inward curve giving the piece its’Banana’ shape. Like the majority of all Danish Art Deco pieces, the sofa is raised upon a heavy Beech wood frame with a coil sprung base, with all springs intact and working perfectly. The Sofa also sits upon two turned Beech feet to the front and two block feet to the rear. All items are for sale elsewhere, so may be removed at any time. Rare time capsule condition Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates Gondola sofa in Perfect restored condition. Comes with walnut end tables on either side with marble inserts. We completely disassembled and restored the piece throughout in order to bring it back to life. We refinished the walnut frame and added new foam, fixed springs and applied Black high performance Maharam fabric. Bring any living space back to the 60s era instantly with this outstanding and rare gondola sofa. Large enough to sit 4-5 people with ease. After our restoration, this piece will last for another 30 years with proper upkeep. Condition report: Time capsule condition. New fabric and upholstery from top to bottom. This lovely antique Sheraton sofa has been recently reupholstered in a tone on tone mint green floral and is in excellent sturdy condition. It has clean French lines in a rich, dark wood. The sofa is sturdy and comfortable. Dimensions are approximately 84″ long by 25″ deep by 33 tall with a seat height of 19. There is a faint stain that won’t show up in a photo. See my other sofa.
