Lovely 1960s Minerva sofa designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Moolgard Nielson for France & Sons (Denmark) in olive green. In very good vintage condition. The newly upholstered original spring loaded cushions are removable and the back can be folded down to create a sofa bed. Overall the teak frame and legs are in good condition. Produced by France & Daverkosen in Denmark with the early metal badge most likely 1950s up to 1957. Identified and listed by the Danish Museum of Art and Design, model number RP15815. Material: Teak Condition: Teak base in very good condition / new upholstery. You push in the button (see photos) on each side and it releases the armrests, or sides and down they go so you can lay full length! Daybed measures H 30.5 in. X W 64 in. X D 32 in. A graceful two seater Moduline sofa in black leather with a teak frame designed by Gjerlov-Knudsen & lind for France & Son, Danish 1960s. A really lovely example of an iconic furniture design by France & Son, one of the best known furniture makers in Denmark in the 1960s.
