Originally covered with a floral chintz fabric it had pillows stuffed with goose down. When we had it reupholstered in 1985 the fabric became an off white cotton or linen and the pillows were stuffed with foam rubber. The reupholstering was done with great skill and attention to detail. It is 54 inches long and 26 inches wide. The other measurements are 29 inches wide at the arm rests, and 25 inches across the top of the backrest. The chaise has spent its life in a lady’s bedroom and has been ideal for stretching out and reading or taking little catnaps. In our new home there won’t be room for the lovely piece and we hope it will find a new home where it will be appreciated and enjoyed for many years to come.
