Offered for sale is an Empire sofa circa 1840. This fantastic sofa features an S scroll at the arms, with the top of the arms being rounded. The sides are a bit unusual being solid and not covered in fabric. A strait crest-rail shows beautiful crotch Mahogany. Solid and very sturdy, the sofa bolts together. Round rosettes at each end cover the bolt holds(see photos). The flame stitch fabric is in nice condition but shows some wear.
