For sale is an Empire sofa circa 1840. This sofa features swan carved arm supports. Made of Mahogany with crotch Mahogany veneers it is solid and ready to take its place in any home. An open carving sits on a shaped crest-rail the seat-rail is also wonderfully carved. If you will look at photo 4 there is a small piece of wood missing(only apology I see). The cranberry/reddish velvet fabric is fantastic, with some fading on the back. If you can’t tell, I love Empire furniture and this sofa is amazing and I think, very comfortable. Please enlarge all photos to get a good look, if you are an Empire person, I think you will love it too. 17 inches seat to floor.
