Victorian Late 1800s Hand Carved Loveseat Settee Sofa Couch 9979. This gorgeous loveseat is made of wood, solid wood, cherry or mahogany, with brass wheels, and is in good condition. This luxurious settee or small sofa was made in the Late 1800s and is a wonderful example of the Victorian furniture style; it features a classic silhouette with beautifully hand carved details decorating the frame, interesting and useful features such as the original solid brass wheels, and a lovely and dark ebony finish to the wood that is original to the piece. The frame is made of gorgeous solid wood that is either mahogany or cherry, we are not certain as the solid dark color of the finish does not show the grain. There were some professional repairs made to the top of the frame, see pictures, however the loveseat is still very sturdy, this does not detract from the great quality of the piece. The condition of this settee is secure and sturdy, there are some aging imperfections/scratches/touch ups due to its age and as part of its wear and tear, see pictures.
