ARTS & CRAFTS OAK EVEN-ARM SETTLE. Circa 1910, unmarked Item # 804EOV21. An angular and very attractive Arts & Crafts period even-arm hall settle from the first quarter of the 20th century, the settle retains an early and beautifully patinated surface with a delightful wear and mellowing throughout. It is tenoned with double pinned corner joints, resulting in a very sturdy and solid construction. The arm posts are dressed with a quarter sawn layer of veneer, these flanking a thick carmel leather upholstered cushion. It is inordinately comfortable and incredibly attractive. 76 W x 22 5/8 D x 34 1/4 H, 18 H to seat. Condition Report: Old leather with wear and fading as expected. Surface is likely original, fading and mellowing to finish throughout; some veneer losses, more notable around the feet; wear and scuffs.
