Pair of early eames walnut dcw chairs with rare black leather upholstery. One chair is in very good condition, the other has an area of cracked and brittle leather on the seat. Foam padding in the crack is also dry and flakes out when in use. Both leather backs are in very good condition. Two different shock mounts, one oval, and one double. Oval one looks like it was re-glued at some point as clear epoxy is squeezing out from mating areas. Also there is some squeezing out epoxy where the back legs meet the stretcher, but the 5 phillips screws seem tight. One has metal herman miller label, other is marked with the date of 5’52. Also, the back where the oval shock mount has been re-glued, looks like it may have been refinished at some point as it is shinier than the rest of the chair.
