Offered is (one) of (ten) vintage tubular chrome modular sofas attributed to Irving and Leon Rosen for Pace. Reminiscent of Milo Baughman designs, this space-age slipper sofa has rounded tubular edges, four “bucket” seats and hex bolt connections. Since the individual seat sections can be removed, the frame could be used as a foundation for a long bench (last photo). The seat section wood frame could be used for the foundation for a seat cushion only if a bench was desired. The upholstered sections could also be redone with more “plush” padding for a more “residential” feel. Likely reupholstered at some point, this 1960′s-1970′s era couch is perfect for a start-up office, business waiting room, hotel or home. I have 10 available. The sofas can be extended even longer than 9′ (adding another 3 seats) by removing the end piece and adding another section (not shown). Underside shows the strapping securing system. Each bucket seat cane removed. All the upholstery is the maroon textile. Each of the metal round foot pads screws/unscrews to assist in leveling. Very good condition with some blemishes, tears and fading to some seats. Chrome in very good condition. I haven’t inventoried all the pieces so there may be some missing hex bolts. 108″ (9′) long x 29″ tall x 27″ depth with seat height of 17″.
