This antique sofa features walnut and burl walnut construction, and dates from the Victorian Renaissance era of the 1870s – 1880s. This antique sofa has been reupholstered nicely in an attractive button and pleated upholstery. Featuring a double chair back, there is also a wonderful drape molded carving with oval walnut trim in the center. It has turned legs, and the overall size is 68 inches at the widest point, 26 inches deep from the front to the back, 44 inches high to the highest point. Features a triple Hepplewhite simple shield back rear with scrolled arms ending in rosette joint and standing on 2 tapered front legs and slightly sabered rear legs. Spring upholstery and material is still in very good clean condition. In overall good clean condition however but front left leg is lose and will need to be fixed before use. Older repairs and one small piece of joint missing on right side joint. Great size and look. Finish shows signs of age and use as well. Measures 57 wide X 36.5 high at rear X 25 deep with a seat dimension of 51 wide X 22 inches high at center X 19.5 inches deep. Items can be picked up in New Rochelle, NY 10801. An antique Renaissance Revival triple settee in the manner of John Jelliff offers walnut frame with triple medallion back having carved foliate crest with Jenny Lind mask surmounting floral needlepoint upholstered cushions surmounting upholstered seat and covered arms, circa 1890. Overall very good condition, tight and sturdy with later added supporting metal brackets as photographed. Metal braces added as photographed. Wear consistent with age and use. This Gorgeous Elegant Carved Rosewood Victorian Triple Oval Back Sofa circa 1865. This beautiful 19th century sofa is crafted in rich rosewood with dramatic and intricate carved details from top to bottom. We believe the finish to be original and the fabric appears to have been redone not too long ago, lovely neutral tones and is wonderful with no issues; only one small spot or two on the right side of the seat. This sofa is tight and sturdy and has its casters intact on all the feet. This sofa is in excellent antique condition with only one small chip noted in the frame on the backside of the top which you cannot even see from the front. This sofa would surely be a fabulous focal point of about any room! Seat width of 63 inches. Seat depth of 23 inches. Seat height of 18 inches. Solid walnut and burl, the three section back is topped in the center with a carved medallion while each end features a laurel wreath. The sections are also divided open carvings. Slightly rounded arms end in incised carved supports. Each end of the seat curves out, with the center dips in. The seat rail offers incised and drop carvings. The sofa is supported by turned legs. This is a solid sofa with no apologies I can detectonly normal usage wear for its age. The earth toned fabric is clean, no tears or holes and really compliments the beauty of the walnut. 22 inches deep at each end 20 inches deep in the middle. 15 inches seat to floor. This is probably a Jelliff sofa, but it is not signed. It is a solid sturdy sofa, braces have been added to the back for support, as this is the place that usually get broken because someone will sit in the middle. The sofa was made to sit at the ends only. It is in very good condition with a few repairs. Please enlarge all photos. The gold fabric was probably put on the the 50′s or 60′s, it is very nice and very usable. This is a wonderful sofa and will make a statement in any room. 46 1/2 inches high. 15 1/2 inches seat to floor.
