Antique Limbert Settee Sofa w/Hubbard Chair & misc. Fresh from a local estate all 3 pieces are good solid condition showing old refinishing. Consisting of the Limbert Settee, Hubbard Chair and miscellaneous Rocker all with mortised and pegged construction. The settee is 74 in. Wide outside of the arms. It is 67.5 in. Tall and 27 in. The are a few age lines in the wood and a little roughness on the back side post. It looks like a small piece of the slat support under the cushion was replace. This is an Antique Arts & Crafts Limbert Drop Arm Settle from the early 1900′s. This is a great looking settle that has a nice low sitting form. The settle was made with an excellent selection of oak and has the original finish with an overcoat. The original spring seat has been recovered with a top quality black hand-rubbed leather filled with cotton and hair. (Not Cheap Foam) The seat is on top of a cotton webbing and not cheap plywood like you see most dealers use. We use a very high-quality leather from Germany and if you compare our seats to the other dealers you will see the difference. We try and make the furniture as time period correct as we can and also we make the seats very comfortable. The spring seat has been professionally adjusted and is very comfortable to sit on. This settle is sturdy and strong with no repaired or replaced parts and it is ready to be used in your home or business. This is an Antique Limbert Drop Arm Settle from the early 1900′s. This is a great looking settle that is in excellent condition. The settle has the original finish and is marked with a Limbert Brand. (See Pictures) The settle is double pinned on the bottom and also pinned on the backrest part. Both arms have a through tenon and pinned construction. The seats are three separate cushions and were recovered with a top quality black hand-rubbed leather filled with cotton and hair. Not sure if the cushion is original (it is very heavy and has springs inside) but the fabric is not original (has some stains). Measurements: 36″H x 73 3/4″W x 30 1/4D. New York to Chicago.
