Walnut Victorian 4 Piece Parlor Set Sofa & 3 Chairs Attributed to John Jelliff. The set consists of four pieces a sofa, arm chair and 2 side chairs. All four pieces have the caryatids(women’s head) medallions on a crest at the top of the back section of a pieces. The sofa and arm chair feature the Atlantes(male warrior heads) on the arm supports. All four pieces are in great condition, look to have been restored many years ago. The set is very sturdy with no major damage. The last 3 pictures show a sample of the staining on the the seats of the 2 side chairs, the center carving on the sofa has a small piece missing, and a close up of a support brace on the back side of the sofa. Arm chair dimensions are approximately 29″ wide to the outside of the arms, 43″ tall at the center of the back and 24 deep for the seating area. 2 side chairs are approximately 21″ wide across the seat, 40″ tall at the center of the back and 20 deep for the seating area.
