Description of item for sale. Renaissance revival sofa is made in the French hunting style that was popular in France during the late 1800′s. It is in very good antique condition, ready for use in your home. The beautiful, elaborately carved oak frame is solid and strong. The vivid red upholstery is in good antique condition with no discolorations or fading but it is a bit worn along the two center seams (photos). The springs and padding are as they should be and the sofa is comfortable with no lumps or sags. Of course the upholstery is not original-from the style of the underside we estimate it is 25 to 50 years old. Dimensions: 74″ wide, 41″ high and 27 deep (front to back). The seat height is 20. A GREAT SET OF MID-CENTURY MODERN WESTERN, HUNTING SCENE, COUCH AND MATCHING ROCKING CHAIR. THIS COUCH FOLDS DOWN INTO A BED. THE CHAIR IS A ROCKER. IN THE WAGON WHEEL PATTERN. Couch is 7′ long. Back of couch had damaged muslin which has been replaced with heavy vintage vinyl. Rocking chair is awesomely comfortable and would not be for sale if I had room for it. Chair is +/- 32″w x 34″ front-back x 31h. Couch has a slit (shown) in the top, chair has a slit (shown) on the seat. Both pieces likely need some more cleaning. Wood finish is worn from age and use on both pieces. Please ask any questions.
