VTG Antique SENG Oak & Leather Davenport Sleeper Sofa Hide-a-bed Sleeper Couch. Bed Frame was made by: SENS Steel Equipment, Chicago, IL. This is an exceptional piece of Arts and Crafts, Mission, Stickley style furniture! The bed is an unusual size of 48″ wide x 71″ long. Perfect for a smaller couple to share, a single person or a few kiddos. We have personally owned this for the past 10+ years. It has been rarely used as it is in a guest room that is seldom used. More photos available upon request. Feel free to contact with any questions you may have. About the wood frame. The frame is in wonderful condition, with a few marks here and there. On the front left side, there is a small piece missing towards the bottom. (hard to see unless you’re looking for it). I believe there is a lacquer or shellac finish to it, has a glossy sheen to it, not a matte finish. 33.5 tall at back. 33 deep from front to back. 19 height of see from the floor. 4 wide arm rests. 52″ x 24″ seat area. The cowhide leather was professionally upholstered about 5 years ago. Leather is in a beautiful shade of gray. Leather was also added to the back of the couch, as it would have been originally. Leather has been well cared for. There may be a mark here or there, consistent with minimal use since being reupholstered. About the steel frame. Made by SENS Steel Equipment, Chicago, IL. Based on some internet research, they were the inventor of the sleeper-sofa! Frame is in excellent condition. It is firm and supportive. At the base of the bed frame, there is a foot board that folds out. When bed is open measures. 18 height from floor. About the foam mattress. It is a nice 3 thick and very comfortable! It has only been slept on about 3 times and always with a mattress protector. There is slight discoloration that is only due to being stored in the sofa.
