Colors are bright and consistent across the couch. The sofa was always cased in a plastic covering in a part of the house out of direct sunlight. Built in cushions on the arm rests. Fantastic Danish Modern design. 2 x arm rest protectors. 88 inch length x 34 inches deep. 21 inch seat depth and 19 inch seat height. The steam-bent, finger joint wood is in beautiful condition. Fabric isn’t great and could use recovering. Base is in great condition. All cushions are zippered so could be washed. This mid century modern sofa by Flexsteel features hardwood frame, vintage yellow velour fabric, removable tufted cushions, large four seater design, and wheels for easy moving. Matching loveseat available separately. Dimensions: 104w 33.5d 30.5h 16sh. Condition: The fabric itself is in good vintage condition. Some fading and discoloration from age. Unforunately the cushions / foam padding inside is brittle and will need to be replaced. Armrests have covers which are removable. This sofa is beautiful and except for dust and lint from over the years has maintained its integrity in every manner. I think this has had little use. The pillows are firm like new. Everything about this says it has been in storage or in a place where it was rarely used. Just pulled out of basement from estate this has been a one owner couch until moved. Last photo shows tear. Right side of couch is the back of couch against wall. This tear goes down the side of couch about 2 inches from the top. As you can see from photos there is an additional pair of arm covers so repair with matching fabric is not a problem. The dark wood trim is unscathed, the wooden legs maintain there integrity…. Everything complete including all labels! I kept one side of legs off in order to keep safe when lowered from photo showing bottom which has legs attached. Other than some pilling on one side of the three re-moveable cushions (which easily came off when i brushed with hand) it is hard to tell it was used. Really doesn’t appear to have been other than when I ran my hands around the inside corners looking for change… I came up empty handed except for a few cookie or cracker remnants. I think probably original owners grand kids but don’t know. This is located roughly 90 miles from Washington DC and Baltimore, MD. 7 1/2 feet long. 27 deep on bottom. Roughly 30 deep from back edge of top(wall) to front. 5 legs dark wood. Dark wood trim at bottom runs across front and both sides. Orange multicolor hues of orange fabric. Rare time capsule condition Flexsteel Gondola sofa in Perfect restored condition. We completely disassembled and restored the piece throughout in order to bring it back to life. We refinished the solid walnut frame and added new foam, fixed springs and applied gray pendleton wool fabric. Bring any living space back to the 60s era instantly with this outstanding and rare gondola sofa by Flexsteel. Adrian Pearsall / Craft Associates and Flexsteel offered competing products in the gondola sofa market in the era. Large enough to sit 3-4 people with ease. After our restoration, this piece will last for another 30 years with proper upkeep. Condition report: Time capsule condition. New fabric and upholstery from top to bottom. Original Flexsteel Walnut Gondola sofa. Comes in a thick white textured fabric and solid walnut trim on each side as well as 5 solid walnut legs. You cant find a better example of this design anywhere. We were unable to locate any other examples online and can confirm it to be a flexsteel design, similar to many Adrian Pearsall designs and in some ways, built better. No damage or wear to be seen within this sofa. Great for any living space or large living room area. Cushions and fabric has many years left. Plays well with other mid century modern or american designed modern pieces of the same era. Measures: 103 W x 36 D x 30 H Condition report: Time capsule condition. No damage or wear to point to. Minor discoloration but even that is very minimal. Cushions still plush, fabric intact. Structurally sound with no damage to the wood or to the legs. No tag or maker stamp intact.
