This piece is just about as sculptural a sofa as you will every find, the front line is serpentine curved, each back rail would normally be basic turned wood, in this case they are hand turned with exquisite detailing, the larger sections look almost musical, like harps. The leather hide is thick English cattle grade, its chesterfield buttoned from head to toe and hand antique studded in place using traditional furniture methods. The frame is a mixture of brown oak and mahogany. The beautifully sculpted legs are elegant from every angle and finished nicely with Victorian porcelain castors. The bench has been fully restored to include having the frame checked, the leather has been hand dyed this beautiful whisky brown colour. Depth:- 74.5cm.
