I have a beautiful vintage midcentury modern leather sofa by Brazilian modernist Percival Lafer, designed in 1965 and made in Brazil. Beautiful detail, so comfortable and solid… Brazilian rosewood frame construction with leather straps and beautiful, unique details throughout. The piece is in good condition. It doesn’t look “beaten up, ” but it’s not perfection, if you’re looking for that. From a few feet away you wouldn’t notice the flaws. Just a few things to note: that there is some light cracking to the leather, and two of the back straps have fallen down due to dryness but this can be repaired if you want to show off the back (which is just as beautiful as the front) or it’s not really noticeable if the back is against a wall. There is a tiny bit of pen on the leather from my 3-year-old which I don’t normally notice unless I look for it; I’m sure it can be cleaned. Happy to send more detailed photos.
