This rare early 20th Century Antique Country French Provincial Settee is constructed of a solid carved wood frame and is distressed in a beautiful whitewashed finish revealing the natural wood. It features a gracefully scalloped camelback top rail conjoined with a center stile and carved hearts on the back of a half-caned window seat, scrolled cane accented arms and lovely carved scalloped apron terminating in elegant cabriole legs and a rushed seat. The sette is fully finished so it will float. The attention to detail and casual sophistication of this charming bench will create a stunning focal point in an entryway, hallway, bedroom, or in a sunroom and is quite the piece for the discerning collector. Measures 47″W x 32″H x 26D (depth is measured from top back of seat to front of cabriole legs). Excellent Vintage Condition commensurate with age. The settee has been refinished and caning was replaced. The rushed seat maintains its originalcharacter and is in sturdy, functional condition. Early American Camelback Sofa, Chippendale Style This pretty mid-sized formal Camelback Sofa is built and designed in the traditional style of a Chippendale. This is a high quality American made wood framed sofa. It came to Minnesota with a Pennsylvania woman of great taste, who transported her families treasures when she moved. Not sure who the original maker of the sofa is but tag can be seen under cushion for the upholsterer. Upholstery shop is long gone. Lake Street Upholstery Mpls. This sofa has a wonderful design, and a great look. The sofa features straight legs and a stretcher. This is in fabulous condition and extremely clean. A great piece that would add to any room in your house or decor. Dimensions Height: 40 in. Width: 74.5 in. Seat: Height: 20.5 in. By 20.5 deep There is a very minor like mark on outer edge of seat cushion which will be easily cleaned. Not noticeable unless looking for it and probably happened during move. The wood is in beautiful condition as well but may have some minor small scratches but nothing that takes away from the sofa. It looks almost new.
