For sale is a 4-Piece Victorian Mahogany Furniture Set in Cherry (pink color) by Pelham, Shell and Leckie (Montgomery, AL), well-known makers of high quality Victorian-style furniture. Set includes a couch, 2 parlor chairs (His and hers) and a mahogany table with Italian marble top. Pieces are vintage reproductions. Please read the descriptions for each piece below. Victorian Parlor Chairs Description. These are his and hers parlor chairs a ladys and a gentlemans slightly different, but specifically made. The ladys chair is the one with the more open seat and sloping arms to accommodate a large skirt. The gentlemans chair is the armchair with wooden detailed caps on the arms. The chairs are made of mahogany and have soft pink/rose colored, crushed velvet upholstered seats, back and arms. These are chairs for relaxing with their graceful lines, curved backs and deep seats. Carved, tapered legs and simple carved mahogany across the crest of the chairs add to their elegance. Ladys Chair Measures: 28W x 22D x 43H. Gentlemens Measures: 28W x 22D x 45H. Solid mahogany table with lyre design. Measures approximately: 34″ W x 29″H x 22D. Made of mahogany and has a soft pink/rose colored, crushed velvet upholstered seat, back and arms. Carved, tapered legs, gooseneck arm-rails and carved design across the crest of the couch adding to its elegance. Measures approximately: 85L x 33D x 36H. All pieces are in very good vintage condition; however, some wear should be expected due to age and normal wear. There is a stain on the right side of the couch (if facing the couch) that I havent attempted to clean in fear of ruining the fabric. Please see last photo. Also, due to the nature of velvet, there are areas where the color may appear darker or lighter in the photo because the velvet was last swiped in a certain direction. Besides normal wear caused by age & usage, the only stain I noticed is the one mentioned above. Set comes from a nonsmoking home.
