In the 1890s karpen was the worlds leading upholstered furniture company. Karpen made many different variations of parlor sets. In past years a lot of them got falsely attributed as R J Horner of New York. These days karpen has emerged as a household name for top collectors. This set is priced to sell, feel free to ask any questions. The lady spent a small Fortune having it upholstered a couple years ago in Manhattan, NY. They are all very comfortable. Fabric is in pristine condition and the springs are perfect. The wood is a Beautiful original mahogany finish. The Perfect color tone in my opinion. Condition- The arms on the sofa and settee have some repairs shown in the last photos. They are all structurally solid. The wood is original so it has some bumps and bruises. Over 125 years old! 5 inch of the top of the shell carving missing on the crest of the settee and armchair.
