Wimbledon-Furniture is delighted to offer for sale this lovely vintage green velour window seat circa 1880 based on an early Thomas Chippendale Georgian sofa. A very good looking and decorative window seat, this is a small piece designed to sit in a bay window, it looks amazing from any angle. The legs are walnut and are carved with acanthus leaf details to the top which was common in. We have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, the wood has a lovely rich timber patina. The seat pad has been filled with feather cushioning and then a new hessian base cover fitted using period Victorian nails. The upholstery is in very good order, there is an iron mark to the top which you can see in the right light. Depth:- 46.5cm. Seat height:- 43.5cm. Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask. This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses SW19-3BE, we can have it delivered nationwide to include Scotland Wales and Ireland.
