This is one of the most comfortable and finest hand made in England sofas you will ever see. It has the original hand dyed leather upholstery, the back cushions are upholstered meaning they are fixed, they are feather filled, the base cushions are also feather filled with new internal bags and feathers, they recess under the back cushion. The only antique company I know that did this was Howard & Sons. The front edge is coil sprung meaning as apposed to having a fixed timber bar you have springs, this type of platform is simply put the most expensive, complicated and comfortable platform available. We have sensitively restored the sofa as mentioned, the leather has been lightly stripped back then hand dyed this glorious cigar brown colour. The sofa has kept all its original style charm and charisma, just imagine sitting in a Mayfair gentlemans club in circa 1860, brandy in one hand cigar in the other, an amazing time.
