A sofa made by one of the greatest designer brand sofa makers of our generation George Smith, the most successful and iconic signature arm model which is based on the world famous Howard and Sons armchair, and one the most beautiful and decorative upholsterys ever produced the Forest Linen which is based on William Morriss original tapestry dated 1887 and currently on display at the V&A Victoria and Albert Museum. What more can I say! As mentioned its been fully and newly reupholstered, the work is exquisite and I had a lot of input to make sure the pattern repeat was exactly what I wanted, so when you look at the front of the sofa and you see the wolf and peacock on to the top of the cushion it flows perfectly to the front of the cushion and then down to the sofa base. Both cushions are fully upholstered so if the worst happened and you stained one side you can simply flip them over. They are overstuffed with goose feathers. A unique feature of the very best George Smith and Howard & Sons sofas is the cushions recess inside the frame under the back rest, this means you are never sitting on the back edge of the cushion which tends to shrink, you are sitting a few inches in with more support.
