Victorian John Jelliff Renaissance Revival walnut and burl wood sofa. Last quarter of 19th century. With the rare and highly sought after carved helmeted knights or soldiers on each arm and Jenny Lind in the center crest. This design is extremely difficult to find. Covered in a light blue velvet upholstery with original wooden wheels. Also retains the fabric bumper behind the crest. An overall incredible find in this very rare design. Length: 81.5 inches (207 cm). Width: 31.5 inches (80 cm). Height: 46.5 inches (118 cm). Condition: Wood is in great condition with a soft medium brown color. But bear in mind this piece is nearly 125-150 years old and does have some commensurate wear. The springs are tight but the upholstery does show some dirt spots on the seat.
