A straight crest rail ends in curls at each end. Large carved shells are on the front of each arm. The feet are also wonderfully carved. This is a solid heavy sofa, probably Philadelphia made. It is in excellent condition, definitely taken care of and loved over the years. The wood is dark, having its original finish. The fabric is a newer cranberry.
