Absolutely amazing sofa, could be the centerpiece of any room and a fantastic conversation piece. First half 20th century. The American eagle is proudly featured in an elaborately carved sofa frame, and finished in a rich, mahogany dark satin sheen. The birds’ tail even drapes down the back side, for added effect. All wood including the legs, are beautifully carved, obviously by the finest of craftsmen. The upholstery is a later vintage of red velvet. 51.5″ H x 79.5″ W x 26 D. DATE OF MANUFACTURE: 1900. PERIOD: Early 20th Century. WEAR: Wear consistent with age and use. One of the tip of the wings is broken, also has some nicks in it, bought it 20 years ago.
