If you were to re-do them or have someone re-do them you would truly have a rare outstanding piece to adorn your home. If you fall in love with this set then perhaps you can ask your upholstery the price to repair them. I understand the price for you on this however, I paid dearly for it myself….. And again I can work with you on Layaway.. Its honestly a rare set…. This would also be a great winter project to re-do them if you have the time… This set is rare and exciting to ever come by… It comes with 4 good size chairs in addition to the matching sofa…. An Exceptional French Antique Set of Aubusson Chairs & Sofa.. Very special and intricate French Antique Aubusson depicting of precious children as shown on each chairs in addition to more motifs. Extraordinary in details having each chair with a different Child’s figure and then being surrounded by swags, foliage and flowers. The seats consists of dogs, cats, chickens and more. Each chair is carved in intricate details and stuffed with original horsehair.. Each chair is gold gild. As shown each chair having nicks, lose of gilding, plaster, which is beneath the gilding, openings, Aubusson having tears, loss, pulls & more (Please see all photos)–the backs of the chairs need to be redone as shown–what you see is the horsehair shown in some photos plus openings & in the Aubusson as well. I added numerous amounts of photos for your viewing on each chair. These truly are gorgeous and exceptional and one can continue to use as they appear of have them redone. The gilt gold could use touch ups however its an outstanding gorgeous piece. The Aubusson itself also remains beautiful as shown for its age and matches all the upper chairs shown here. It remains with all its original Aubusson and stuffing. The wood remains strong and again this set is Breathtaking. One will never come across a set like this… And, very hard to come by due to its age and motifs and more. I can accept a layaway also on this set. Or, please write me if you wish.
