For your consideration here is a French Style Gilt Sofa. The upholstery is not original but individual upholstery nails are (several of them had been replaced – photo #8 ; one nail is missing – photo #12) and it is berry/ruby color(depending on light). The frame is tight and sturdy, had been repaint some paint flakes between cane which can be easily removed, cane is doubled on each arm and has no damage. One leg has a previous repair which is tight and secure. The fabric is slightly soiled as pictured and significantly soiled under the cushions. The age of the sofa is unknown.
